Having moved several times with several different methods, I can now say with confidence that I know the secret to an efficient, well-organized, speedy, low stress move; hire a professional.

I've never actually had the luxury of that method. My favorite so far is when we moved when I was 12. My parents bought the house next door. . . so for moving day we just took down the fence and walked across the lawn. Easy and cheap.
